Feature Request

A customer has requested the ability to apply conditions to specific sections or blocks of text within a snippet, rather than only at the entire snippet level. Currently, conditions can only be applied to the full snippet, which limits flexibility and requires maintaining multiple snippets for small variations. Enabling conditional logic within portions of a snippet would improve usability and content management efficiency.

It would be helpful to have a Disable Snippet option instead of only Delete. Currently, deleting a snippet removes it from all linked articles, which also removes its existing dependencies. If a snippet is used across many articles, it must be added again manually later. A disable option would allow users to temporarily hide the snippet while keeping all article associations intact. Once re-enabled, the updated snippet would automatically appear in all linked articles. This would be especially useful for temporary changes, such as Hide pricing tables or plan details while new pricing is being finalized. Hide warranty terms, disclaimers, privacy text, or policy statements until legal approval is complete. Temporarily remove snippets promoting features currently under maintenance or downtime. Disable snippets for offers, promotions, or limited-time banners after the campaign ends.

When working with a large number of snippets, the system currently redirects users back to page 1 after editing, updating, or translating a snippet from subsequent pages (e.g., page 2 or 3). This disrupts workflows, especially when processing multiple snippets sequentially. It would be helpful if the platform retained the user’s current page position and sorting preference after saving changes, allowing users to continue working without needing to navigate back to the original page.

When I work with snippets, I have 2 browser tabs open - one for the article and one for the snippets. It's a limitation that snippets can only be managed from the Snippets feature where you lose your working context. Instead, I want to be able to 1) highlight text and have a "Create snippet" option and 2) have an "Edit snippet" option both attached to the snippet and in the selection box after typing /snippet.

The customer would like to have the below implementations in the snippet. Dual States for Snippets: Implement draft and published states for snippets, similar to how articles are managed. Snippet updates remain in a draft state until explicitly published by the user. Context-Sensitive Snippet Versioning: When an article is in draft mode, it should reference the draft version of the snippet. Published articles should only reference the published version of the snippet. Change Notification: Notify users when a referenced snippet is updated. Bulk Publishing Workflow: Allow users to publish all pending snippet changes simultaneously, either from a centralized snippet management page or during the article's publication process. Provide an option during article publication to include snippet updates, e.g., "Publish article and related snippet changes." Change Tracking for Snippets

We want to be able to add comments to text inside snippets just like with normal text. We use comments to communicate with QA as content passes through the workflow. Not being able to comment on snippets is a real blocker - we cannot ask questions to QA, and QA in turn cannot alert us to content issues.

When making a snippet, currently we cannot add a glossary term. Ask Eddy advises that the glossary terms are removed. It would be helpful to have this functionality.

This feature is for users who want to create snippets that begin with one or more steps of a procedure. Make snippets context-aware so that if the snippet content begins with a numbered step and the snippet is inserted immediately after a numbered step, the numbering of the snippet's step(s) would continue the article's step numbering. For example, if the snippet content is as follows: 1) Snippet step contents 2) Another snippet step When inserted into a set of steps, the snippet would appear as follows (steps 3 and 4): 1) Article Step 1 2) Aritcle Step 2 3) Snippet step contents 4) Another snippet step 5) Article Step x 6) Article Step y This feature would allow easy customization of procedures for different scenarios.

I want to be able to search all our snippets by containing text, not just title. I just had the case where I needed to change the wording in a few snippets, but I had to manually identify every single one where the wording needed to be changed.

It would be great if we have the option to edit and change the language of the snippet once it is created. If a snippet is mistakenly created in global and If I want to have it specific to "English" language, we should be able to change it.
