Allow Editing Snippets Without Automatically Updating Published Pages

Currently, any changes made to a snippet are immediately reflected on all pages where that snippet is used, including already published pages. This prevents content authors from preparing updates in advance for future releases, as any work-in-progress edits become visible to end users as soon as they are saved.
Snippets are a valuable and widely used feature within our team, but this behavior significantly limits their usefulness for release-based content management. As a workaround, we are often forced to replace snippets with static text when preparing content for an upcoming release, which defeats many of the benefits of using shared snippets.
We would like snippet updates to be decoupled from publication. Ideally, edited snippets would be visible only within the Editor until the associated content is reviewed and published. This would allow authors to safely prepare, review, and approve future content changes without unintentionally updating live documentation ahead of schedule.
