Feature Request

Problem: Currently, the Find & Replace function doesn't support replacing text with variables like {{variable-element}}, requiring manual entry for each instance. Proposed Solution: Enhance Find & Replace to include variables, code samples, and other formatting options, streamlining the replacement process.

You should be able to limit Find/Replace to specific categories, especially if you need to search for a term that appears often and you have a lot of articles and a lot of categories. Even more since there is an arbitrary threshold of results returned, cf. https://docs.document360.com/docs/find-and-replace?highlight=search%20and%20replace . "The occurrences in a maximum of 1000 articles can be replaced in a single event." The filter options for the Find/Replace function in the portal are not sufficient or even useless, IMHO. For instance: * Tags: If you do not set those, you cannot use them to filter. * Contributors, Visibility: I cannot even imagine, why I would search in topics only restricted by those.

Matching case when doing find and replace is a basic option of the function. It has little usefulness without this option.

It would be better if these special characters are supported with this feature. Thank you.

When using the Find and Replace functionality, the system replaces the hyperlink and image sources and replaces the words in the image links added to the article, which led to images being broken. Also, it does not give an option to support case-sensitive search and replace.

The Find and Replace function under content tools is restricted to only 3 replacements per day for business and enterprise accounts. This is a very inconvenient hinderance to a workflow, as most content editor tools do not restrict this function. Please remove the limit or at least increase it to a reasonable amount. We use this feature mostly for localization and replacing spellings of certain words. Doing this at the individual article find and replace is extremely time consuming. If you were to accidentally replace a word and needed to fix it but were at your 3 limit cap, you would also currently have to wait an entire day.

Global Find and Replace currently has two options for document status after completing the operation: Draft and Published. I have been informed that this means the following: regardless of the state of the article having content replaced, the revised article will either be published by the operation if Published is selected, or converted to Draft if Draft is selected. In the case where the search term occurs in both draft and published content, neither of these options is suitable. If Draft is selected, the published articles become draft and have to be manually published. If Published is selected, then draft articles become published. The third option required for this feature is to leave the state of the article untouched by the Global Find and Replace operation. Draft articles should remain in draft state and Published articles should remain in Published state. Without the third option, two Global Find and Replace operation must be run for every term to avoid publishing draft articles or creating drafts from published articles.

A useful feature would be a hex code seek & replace. We have had a few clients change corporate colors and we generally have any part of a document that is custom to them and non standard in their color(s), or sometimes the team decides that a particular color that is used across hundreds of documents (either directly in the document or via a snippet) just isnt readable and should be changed. Doing this across hundreds of documents and snippets can can many hours, if there was a way to have a feature where you input the current hex and replace with a new one it would save a lot of time
