Readers acknowledgement
complete

Is there a way to read a doc and then at the bottom of the document have a forced acknowledgement that the reader has read it (more for policy docs)?

For anyone else on this ticket who interested in using the new Read Receipt feature (whenever it becomes available to us all), additional posts have been created to further enhance this feature that you may be interested in as well!
Add some sort of Read Receipt compliance reporting dashboard (or at least an option to download that info):
Add ability to require Read Receipts by reader group (as currently you can only require all readers or no readers):
Add ability to re-set Read Receipts by reader group (so you can re-require a Read Receipt following an article update):

Document360 Engineering Can you provide more information about this release? I can't find anything about using the feature in my site or any mentions of it in previous release notes. Thank you!
Shakeer Hussain S
Marianne Lynch: The reader acknowledgment feature is exclusively available in KB Site 2.0. To explore Site 2.0, please contact our support team or your dedicated customer success manager. We are currently developing a migration plan for existing users to transition to Site 2.0. Once you've explored the 2.0 site and expressed your interest, we can enable it for your project to access this feature.
Marianne Lynch
Shakeer Hussain S Awesome, I have confirmed I am already using Site 2.0! Where is this feature found?

Document360 Engineering Document360 version 2.0 was released last year so we should all be on it.
How do you enable this forced acknowledgement on each document as I do not see it in the document options!
Shakeer Hussain S
Marianne Lynch:
Please note that this feature is available only for private projects. By "2.0," we are referring to the KB Site 2.0. The portal is already at version 2.0. If your project is private and on KB Site 2.0, you can find the "Read Receipt" option under "More Article Options." Ensure that the read receipt option is enabled. This feature is currently available at the article level.
Once you enable the read receipt, you will see the notification icon on the KB site. This is where readers can read through the article and acknowledge it.
By clicking on the Notification icon, the reader will be directed to a list view of articles that require acknowledgment.
Hope I have answered your questions, Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

Merged in a post:
Add reader acknowledgement feature
Marianne Lynch
CURRENT:
Admins can view Analytics > Reader and/or Analytics > Articles to see which readers have read and/or viewed specific articles. To meaningfully be able to track what users have read/viewed an article each time it is updated, admins have to rely on external tracking methods in combination with the information provided under Analytics.
REQUEST:
-Add reader acknowledgement feature to allow readers to confirm when they have viewed a new and/or updated article directly within the platform. This could be a setting turned on each time an article is published and specific reader groups could be chosen that must "acknowledge" the article (meaning acknowledgments could be "reset" with each article update). The acknowledgement could look similiar to the article feedback feature at the bottom of articles.
-Add tracking feature for Admins to see which readers have confirmed or not confirmed a new and/or updated article. This would make for more detailed reader analytics and help admins track reader usage and compliance.
Marianne Lynch
Yes, I believe your summary sounds correct!
-At the project level the admins could turn on the "acknowledgement" feature that enables some sort of buttons/widget/etc. to appear on all articles where users can indicate once they've read an article.
-When a user publishes an article (either updates to an existing one or a new one), they could choose what reader groups need to "acknowledge" the article. They could also choose what reader groups' acknowledgements should be reset (in the case of updating an existing article).
-When a user acknowledges an article, that setting stays visible (unless it is reset b/c a new version is published and new acknowledgement requested).
-On the back end, admins would be able to track which readers have/haven't acknowledged articles they are assigned to.

Marianne Lynch thanks for sharing a detailed feedback. As per the request, you would like to have an ACK both at the article level and at the project level. So turning off, at the project level would still allow users to control at the article level. Finally, track all the acknowledged readers against the article in the Analytics.
We will have this evaluated and keep you posted in future for updates.
Shelene Romane
The ability to have this option would be really beneficial for compliance.

Hi Hari - Thanks for sharing this request. Kindly be informed that we are going introduce a feature called 'News and Announcements' along with our existing feature 'Smartbars'. We will pick this feature for development during Q4. Kindly stay tuned for the updates.
