Enable link to hidden articles
under review

When hiding an article, it would be nice to reenable the direct link, allowing users to still view it without making it searchable or visible in the directory. This would be super useful for versioning, so that we can link to older versions of an article, but not have it show up in the normal navigation.

I just wanted to post this as a feature request. We don't understand why this is still on discussion since 2021. We would also like this very much.

We urgently need to be able to have articles that
will not show up in table of contents
not be found in google
but a link can be sent to people who are not "readers" or licensed for document360.
This could be for pages that are "hidden"
any hidden page can be shared using a special direct link
or have a new sort of page - of half hidden

It would also be useful if we could link to "hidden" articles from pages that are not published.
Currently when creating a page draft, if you try to add a link to a hidden page the page cannot be found by the link widget and you have to create the link manually (by copying and pasting the URL).
It would be great to be able to use the link widget normally for a page that is still a "draft" and not published publicly.

I was just about to submit a feature request about this very issue. We have some beta customers who try out new features before they're officially launched, and sometimes they need to see articles about those new features. We don't want the articles available in the knowledge base yet, and we certainly don't want to set up those customers with their own account. It would be great to be able to hide an article so it's not searchable or visible in the table of contents but can still be seen via a direct link. (Our previous content management system allowed this -- you could make an article non-discoverable but choose whether it could be seen by anyone via a direct link, only by members of specific groups, or by nobody. Very useful.)

Jean Anderson: I fully support this feature request.

This would be a super-useful feature. I see that this suggestion is about a year old, but maybe the folks at Document360 can review it again?

David Lindberg Do you refer to hyper links when you quoted " re-enable the direct link".? also could you elaborate this request with examples / screenshots? Thank you.

We've had a need for this several times.

This sounds a useful idea. We now have a use case where we need this item. As written above, beta users of the system, need access to documentation. We want to be able to send a link to an article, without it appearing in the menu of the KB
