A feature like this must be optional, per page or per edit. I would not want every update to be indicated to the user, as updates are often insignificant, such as fixing typographical errors or broken links, or rewording for clarity, etc.

From our side the external user who is reading the KB would be interested to see the latest changes made to the article. e..g if we added 3 new settings they would be marked, and this is will go away after a fixed time

Caroline Tabach the latest published article revision history in the knowledge base site should be differentiated with highlights of updated content to the Reader. If that so, then previous history should also be displayed for the Reader as well. That would be cognitive load. And as per your last statement, if system facilitates such markings for fixed time then Readers who haven't read the previous content would like to read that and compare as well.
Achieving the same in the KB site is quite tricky, at the moment we do have "updated" indicator in category manager of the KB site.

Indhujaa - Request you to kindly tag the customer name while creating requests on behalf of them, this would help them to view the updates on the thread.
As per the request, this would be too much of information in the audit log to be tracked, and we do have compare revision history option for an article which provides adequate information. May I know is there any information customer would like to have apart from the changes made in the content?
