Structure manager - managing categories and articles

I would like to use a folder manager to restructure the categories and articles in our knowledge base. Now, if I select an article, it opens automatically, which can take a while. Also, if I move something from one category to another, the system refreshes and only shows the category I moved the category or article to.
This would work similarly to File Explorer in Windows and let you easily change the structure of your knowledge base. This would also include the ability to move multiple articles at once. This would be very useful, especially when working with large categories that need to be updated and expanded regularly.
For example, we have a couple of categories where we store code snippets for specific tables in our end product. These categories are at their limit, and if I need to add one or more snippets, I need to move articles over one by one from one category to another. This is a very time-consuming task, as the system doesn't seem as snappy with larger categories as with smaller ones.
I have found out I can do this by going to the all articles overview and filtering by category but this is not very user friendly and I think this solution would definitely add customer value for your product.
Let me know if you have questions. I'd be happy to explain further during a call. Thanks!

Hi Compatible Rooster
Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback - it’s very helpful and clearly highlights the challenges you’re facing when managing content at scale.
We understand the friction around the current behaviour, especially with articles opening on selection, the loss of context after moving content, and the lack of bulk actions. These are valid concerns, particularly for large knowledge bases where restructuring and ongoing maintenance need to be fast and seamless.
At the moment, the recommended workaround is indeed using the All Articles view with filters, but we acknowledge this is not the most intuitive or efficient experience for such use cases.
We will explore the improvements in this area to make large-scale content management more robust - including better navigation, reduced refresh behaviour, and more flexible ways to move content in bulk. Your use case around managing large code snippet libraries is a strong example of why this is important.
We’ve captured this as a product enhancement request and will evaluate it.
Thanks again for taking the time to share such actionable feedback - it’s exactly this kind of insight that helps us prioritise the right improvements.

Also, it would be useful to have an option to alphabetically sort all articles in a category!
