I'd love to be able to have pre-defined variables or macros. For instance, the article name as a dynamic tag/dynamic variable that will insert the value of the article name depending on the article.

In addition to the current variable feature, are you looking for an enhancement or extension to the existing functionality? For instance, you mentioned the need for a variable specifically for the article name. With this feature, when you utilize this variable within an article, it will automatically retrieve and display the corresponding article name, eliminating the need for manual input.
Have I correctly understood your request? Please feel free to correct me if I have misunderstood your needs.

Shakeer Hussain S: So for instance I need to maintain about a 100 documents that are essentially the same format and structure but each article is about a different 3rd party product we integrate with.
- Product X
- Product Y
- Product Z
Inside the articles, as part of the template, I have a heading called:
Connecting Product Z
or
Connecting Product Y
I want to be able to have an article template with the heading:
Connecting {article-name}
and have the article name automatically filled-in by the system.
I want to be able to use this also in a paragraph snippet like so:
"Connecting {article-name} requires the following..."
