Set Default Alignment for Table Cells
closed
Anna McDonald
It would help to have the ability to set a default alignment for content in tables. The Document360 default of Vertical Align to Middle goes against our standard format. Since the Block Editor (new WYSIWYG Editor?) does not allow me to select and forma multiple table cells, I have to change each cell individually. We use a lot of tables in our content, so this is very tedious work! It would help to be able to format multiple cells and be able to change the default alignment. Please consider these changes.

Hi Anna McDonald, thanks for reaching out. In the advanced WYSIWYG editor, you can select the whole row (or) column (or) the entire table and provide the formatting functions available in your right-hand side menu. A right-click on the table will provide a list of functions to configure the selected cells. Hope this meets your expectations. I've included an attachment for your reference, kindly have a look.
If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out. Thanks for your valuable time.

Prabhakaran Parasuraman: Okay, thank you. I see that now. I did not find any documentation on the new layout when I submitted this issue, and and it is not obvious that the table is selectable. Now that I know this, I am able to modify content alignment within tables easily.

Prabhakaran Parasuraman: Note that this does not work for image alignment. Even if I have an entire column centered, the images still import as left-aligned within the image space.
