Search Functionality Disappears When Side Navigation is Collapsed

When I collapse the side navigation in the docs, the search functionality disappears entirely. As a result, users have no way to access the search feature unless they expand the side nav again, which is far from ideal for a user perspective.

Whole Kite Unfortunately this option does not work properly either. I have attached a screenshot. Since the secondary header is not sticky, when you scroll down, the search bar disappears from view completely.
Tbh, the ideal option would be to have it on the main navigation or at least make the secondary navigation sticky so the search does not disappear.

At least on the left nav, the search bar sticks around when you scroll down. So I am not sure why this behavior cannot be replicated in the secondary nav too.

Do you have an ETA on when this will go live?

Thank you Whole Kite
No, we need the search bar visible at all times.
When it is in the secondary nav, if you scroll down to read the article, you cannot see the search field.

hi Sunny Sawfish, Umber Hummingbird,
There is an option in customize site where you can move the search bar to the secondary navigation. When you place the search bar in the secondary navigation, even when you collapse the left navigation, the search will still be there in the secondary navigation .Can you please confirm if this would solve the issue for you.
Thank you!

One of our customers Sunny Sawfish requested to retain the search experience from KB 1.0 in KB Site 2.0, as it aligns best with their use case.
