Retain Keyword Search Results After Article View

Some users prefer using keyword search instead of prompting. However, when they click on a search result to view an article and then go back, the search input and results are cleared. This interrupts the flow and forces users to retype their query.
Suggestion: Keep the search results active after viewing an article, similar to how other search engines work. This would better support users who rely on keyword-based navigation.

Hi Treesu
Thanks for highlighting this — we understand how losing the search query and results after viewing an article disrupts the reading flow, especially for users who rely on keyword-based navigation instead of prompting. Keeping the search state active would indeed make the experience more intuitive and efficient.
To better define the expected behavior, could you clarify a few points?
- Should the search input and results remain visible only when the user clicks the browser Back button, or also when they use in-page navigation (e.g., breadcrumb or menu links)?
- Would you prefer the scroll position in the search resultsto be retained as well, so users return exactly to where they left off?
- Should this behavior apply to both AI-powered search and traditional keyword search, or only to keyword-based search?
Once we have this clarity, we can plan the appropriate implementation approach for preserving the search context.
