When a Drive folder mapped to a category reaches the 5,000-file limit, new uploads to articles in that category fail immediately. There is no advance warning as the folder approaches the limit, and no alternate routing when it is reached.
Add a proactive notification when a mapped Drive folder nears its file-count limit (for example, at 90–95% capacity), and/or allow uploads to automatically fall back to the project default folder (or another configured folder) when the mapped folder is full, instead of blocking the upload entirely.
Benefit: Contributors can continue uploading images and files without interruption, and admins can reorganize Drive folders ahead of time rather than discovering the limit only after uploads start failing.
