Offline Documentation
in progress

There is a significant need to provide offline access to help documentation for countries or hospitals where internet connectivity is restricted. This is a critical challenge in scenarios where documentation is required for offline users.
Could Document360 offer any potential solutions for this use case? Given that there may be a large number of customers in similar situations, exporting the full knowledge base as PDFs or HTML pages alone does not fully meet the requirements.

anna Firdhous Riffat - Thank you for sharing your feedback, Riffat! We understand the challenge you're facing with customers who don't have internet access and the limitations it brings for using Doc360's online features, like the knowledge base assistant.
We currently offer a solution that could address this need: web help files. This format provides offline help documentation through a single compressed file containing HTML pages, images, and a table of contents. These can be distributed and accessed offline, which is especially useful for on-prem or air-gapped systems. While Document360 currently supports exporting content as PDFs and DOCX files, we believe web help format will further enhance your ability to deliver offline documentation.
This offline documentation solution is planned for release in March 2025, and we would love to know if this would meet your needs. Could you confirm if this would help resolve the issue for your customers, or if there are additional requirements we should consider?
Looking forward to your thoughts!

Additionally, I'd like to add that the export process should let us define the workspaces or categories that must be included/excluded from the export.

This would be a great solution for our on-prem customers, especially those that are air-gapped! One item we'll need to figure out is how to give those customers only a version that meets their current on-prem one, but that should be easy.

We have a couple of customers which don't have access to the internet for the systems where our software is running at. That means we can't redirect from our software to our Doc360 page and we can't use the knowledgebase assistant in our software.
It would be awesome if there would be a way to integrate the knowledge base or widget into our desktop application, even if no internet connection is available.

We would also like very to have the ability to KB widget added to a desktop application.
