Copy/Move categories/articles between versions

Next to our open knowledge base we have a closed knowledge base (different version) that we use for applications that are in development. it would be nice to move/copy catergories/articles from one version to the other once the application goes live.

KRITIKA JAIN sure, we believe you are referring to cloning a category along with entire contents to be cloned as well. In this case, all the articles & sub-categories within parent category. Yes, we do have in the roadmap. And we are merging this request with relevant request.

Need to be able to move or copy articles (in bulk!) from one "workspace" to another. It completely diminishes the value of having two workspaces on the same instance if I can't migrate documentation and other collateral between them in a convenient manner.

Copy Category / Sub-Structure
Glenn Elliott
With having as many clients as we do and just moving to Document360 the ability to set up a template client category & sub-category structure would be most helpful. So far for ever single client I have had to manually create each category and all of the sub categories every single time, and it is very time consuming.
It would be preferable if we could create this category/sub-category (folder sub-folder) structure just once and then for each new client we just copy it and rename the main category as needed.
This would literally have saved hours and hours of work, especially being new to Document360 have having to do this for almost 100 clients

Duplicate category / sub-category structure

I would like to create a new category (eg category A), and within this new category, copy a sub-category structure from another category (eg category B) that has already been created. The result should be that category A and category B have the same sub-category tree structure.

This is similar to my prior request: "I would like to create a new category (eg category A), and within this new category, copy a sub-category structure from another category (eg category B) that has already been created. The result should be that category A and category B have the same sub-category tree structure." Please do let us know when this feature is available.

Glenn Elliott sure we understand this requirement, basically to create a clone of the category along with sub-categories so that you shall rename the parent category name for every client and then re-use sub-categories. We have this in our roadmap to be addressed, and will keep you posted once we roll out this feature. Thank you for time and valuable feedback.

Move articles between projects/versions
Shyam S
Users should be able to move articles between various projects/versions. Currently, the <Move to> option can only help you move articles within the same version. Add an additional layer on top of this so that users can select their respective projects/versions to move articles.

Ability to copy pages between Versions
Nibu Thomas
We often have Beta products that may require significantly less content. Initially, we'd just create a version and delete all the features that aren't introduced. But as the product grows and similar functionality is introduced in the beta product, we'd need the ability to copy pages from the main documentation version to the beta version.
