mermaid support

Dev Guesty
Hi. Do you plan to support mermaid format? We really miss it for describing flows inside the documentation for our features.
For example, github supports it, and it look like can be easily implemented.
Thanks.

We are migrating from Azure DevOps to Doc360. We have a lot of diagrams written in Mermaid language and we will lost a lot of productivity if we cannot use this in Doc360.

Hi Dev Guesty, Stephanie Smith, Jean Michel FRASSON, Sandy CrespoMossi, Greetings!
We have evaluated your feedback. We are currently focusing on improving the advanced WYSIWYG editor. We have an alternative solution for creating flow charts/diagrams within the editor. We would like to confirm that this meets your expectations. Please let us know if you have any concerns or suggestions.
Kindly check the excalidraw editor - https://excalidraw.com/
Your response will be helpful for us to act on this solution, thank you for your valuable time.

Hi, Prabhakaran Parasuraman,
Exalidraw is a great tool, but it does not cover the lack of mermaid.js. The reasoning for our company to use mermaid charts is that its generating charts based on code. This way we dont have to rearrange a huge set of elements when we find out we need to add something in the middle of a chart. We also share the mermaid-charts between different projects and systems, so a simple copy paste of chart definitions are easier and faster than uploading pngs all over.
PS: We have made it work using custom JavaScript-snippets, but sometimes it breaks when you change how code-blocks are rendered
Christoph Hillisch
Prabhakaran Parasuraman Excalidraw is no replacement for mermaid.js. Furthermore, the implementation in the WYSIWYG editor won't help us as our company works with Markdown based files only.
Florian Becker
Why not support both? Prabhakaran Parasuraman I agree with Bjarne and Christoph. while excalidraw might be better suited for marketing and creative tasks, mermaid is ideally suited for technical documentation.

Hi Florian - Thanks for sharing this feedback. We will assess the feasibility and update the status here.

Would be extremely useful to us to be able to create more table styles using the Markdown editor.
We also use the mermaid.live editor for most of our table creation in other areas. We can add them to our document360 as images, but being able to update them live without having to reupload the updated images would be a huge boost to flowchart accuracy and time savings.

I totally agree, it will be very helpful for technical documentation to be able to create diagrams directly into the markdown editor (as it's possible using plugin like Mermaid)

Hi Sandy Thanks for your feedback, we have added this feature in our pipeline, but No ETA.
