Owners/admins should have an option to resolve comments submitted by contributors. Now, comments can be resolved by the one who opened them. This creates dependency.
It would be great if owners, at least, could resolve. Thanks!

Hi TARIQ, rebecca, Ambuj, Thanks for sharing your feedback!
We understand that contributors may often need the ability to resolve comments themselves, especially when engineers don’t get to them. This is now supported in the system.
As part of our recent inline comments revamp, contributors can now resolve comments added by others, and comments can also be retained even after an article is published.
Read more about it - https://docs.document360.com/help/docs/en/reviewing-an-article-inline-comments#adding-inline-comments-to-an-article
Your request is now addressed and we’re closing this ticket. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!

Adding TARIQ PATHAN to track the progress.

Can I get an update on when this will be completed? In-line comments are useless to us if the administration cannot resolve/delete them on behalf of other people.

Engineers who provide the review comments, almost never resolve the comments. This leads to huge dependency. Account owners and draft writers also should have the capability to resolve comments. This is not engineering QA. Many a times there might be a typo pointed out, for which even the draft writer should not depend on account owner or the reviewer.

Hi Venkatesh, thanks for reaching out. Allowing the owners to resolve the comment is in our pipeline.
We have included this in phase - 2 of the inline comments. You can expect this feature in our 2024 release.
