Improve Search Usability: Stabilize Article List During AI Responses

One of our Customers highlighted an issue with the current behavior of Eddy AI search results, where the article list shifts downward on the screen as the AI progressively generates the summary answer. This is causing frustration for users trying to click on articles while the AI response is still loading. They’ve requested either a way to keep the article list stationary while the summary is generated or an option to collapse or hide the AI summary to prevent it from pushing the article list down.

This would be a hugely beneficial change for us! We've had multiple users report that they have to "chase" the links down the page after hitting the Enter key. We've advised them to not hit Enter until after they've browsed the article list, but it seems that that action (hitting Enter) is almost automatic for some users so it's a frustrating workaround.

Venkatesh, Thanks for sharing this feedback!
This behavior is actually intentional by design. When you start typing a keyword, the search results (powered by Algolia) appear instantly and keep updating as you type. Once you finish typing, the UI stabilizes, allowing you to either click on one of the listed articles or press Enter for Eddy AI to generate an AI-powered answer.
The goal is to provide a unified and flexible search experience, where users can choose between the traditional search results or AI-assisted answers without switching between different interfaces.
We’ve added this to our backlog for now and will monitor if more users report similar feedback. Based on the traction and usage patterns, we’ll evaluate it for future usability improvements.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us!
