Improve OPEN LINK Button inside the editor Functionality

Clicking the OPEN LINK button inside the editor redirects away from the current article to a dashboard, which feels counter-intuitive. This functionality does not seem beneficial, as navigating to the dashboard when the link points to actual content serves no clear purpose.
Could we have these links function the same way they do on the Knowledge Base (KB) site?

When editing an article, I can't click the internal links to check where they go. I have to go to the actual site and click the link there. It would be useful to be able to click through to the article from the editing state.
