Improve functionality of Search bar

The Search bar lets me find text, but without any granular control. For example, I might want to search for a specific text string in a specific (H2) or any heading, in a table, in a certain category, etc., while excluding everything else.

Hi Nearby Cheetah,
Thanks, Claus. Yes, this is related to Advanced Search. To better understand the requirement, could you clarify which specific article elements you would like to be able to search within?
For example:
Headings — H1, H2, H3, etc.
Tables — table content only
Snippets — content within snippets
Accordions — content within expandable sections
Callouts / alerts
Code blocks
If possible, could you share 2–3 real-world examples of searches you commonly perform and the expected results? This will help us understand the level of granularity you're looking for

Hi Kavya, is this what you mean by the Advanced Search? Specifically, I would like to have more granular control over searches in articles. The example with text strings in headings is from the real world. If I remember that I used a specific text string in a heading, but it's very generic, then it will find all instances, not just those in headings. The same could apply to other specific elements inside articles, like tables, snippets, accordions, etc. Does that make sense? Thanks! Claus

Hi Nearby Cheetah,
Thank you for sharing this feedback.
Currently, you can use the available Advanced Search filters to narrow down your search results based on the supported criteria.
To better understand the additional level of control you're looking for, could you please clarify:
-Are the existing filters helping with your use case? If not, which specific filtering capability is missing?
Is your primary requirement to search for text specifically within headings, tables, or other content types?
-When you mention searching within a specific category, are you looking to search only within that category and its subcategories?
-Could you share a few example searches and the expected results?
This will help us better understand the level of granular search control you need.
