Import updated Word document as new article version
under review
Tom Stephens
We have documents that we prefer to manage (e.g. policies) outside of Doc360. The import Word document was one of the reasons we selected Doc360.
We would like to be able to update articles by importing a revised Word document. For instance, when we update a policy, we would like to be able to import the updated policy and have it "overwrite" the existing article. Currently, the only way we've figured out to do this is by uploading the Word document as a new article, re-creating all the Related Article links, and deleting the prior version.
Ideally, we would like to upload the new Word document as a new version of the existing article, retaining all the prior article versions, the URL slug, as well as the Related Article links.

Hi Tom Stephens,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the importance of managing documents efficiently, especially for policies and other frequently updated content. Currently, Document360 allows importing Word documents as new articles, but we recognize that having to recreate Related Article links and delete previous versions can be time-consuming.
We agree that a more seamless approach—where a revised Word document can be uploaded to overwrite an existing article while retaining the URL slug, Related Article links, and version history—would significantly improve workflow and maintain content continuity.
We will review this request with our product team as a potential enhancement and keep you updated on any developments regarding versioned Word imports.
