At the moment, in the advanced WYSIWYG Editor, when you select text to work on. The color is a bit off white, customer has requested to come up with something more contrasting.
Something that will easily highlight the content and easy to spot for editors.

We’ve made a subtle yet important enhancement to improve your editing experience!
🔍 What’s Changed:
When you select text in the Advanced WYSIWYG Editor, it now appears with a more contrasting highlight color — replacing the previous off-white tone that was hard to spot.
📣 This update comes directly from customer feedback to ensure better visibility and focus while editing.
This improvement has been shipped as part of the May 11.5.1 release.

Sharing the feedback on behalf of the customer (Anu). The customer feels that when we highlight any text in the Advanced WYSIWYG editor, the brightness of the highlighted text is less compared to the other editors, WYSIWYG and Advanced WYSIWYG."

True. However, my observation has been that if the editor is opened in your secondary (monitor) screen, this issue persists. But if you open it on your laptop, which is your primary screen, this issue doesn't occur. Initially the colour of the highlight was atleast 10% for us to make out (in the secondary screen), but now it is negligible.

I encounter the same issue. My low-resolution monitor makes it nearly impossible to see the text selection. I suggest either making the text selection more conspicuous so it's easy to see or provide an option to customize the text selection color.

There are numerous requests for this, and this is of particular issue when highlighting text in a private note, so purple highlight on purple background color

I have this issue too, and it is even more difficult to notice when working within a private note which has a background color or purple in the editor, and as we do all of our work in private notes this can be such a needless waste of time to try and figure out what is and isn't highlighted
