Glossary - Cross Referencing within Items

Currently we are able to add Glossary Items via the Content Tools feature. We have scenarios where there may be two entries (one abbreivation and one expansion) with the same definition / description. For example, Answering Machine Detection and AMD have the same definition. We create two entries as below:
AMD - See Answering Machine Detection
Answering Machine Detection - <Actual Definition>
We are unable to cross-reference the abbreviated entry to the expanded entry and fetch the definition in the published article. On publication, the article pops See Answering Machine Detection if we have inserted AMD and pops the full definition only if we have inserted Answering Machine Detection. To avoid this, we are forced to create two glossary entries with the same definition.
Please provide a functionality to cross-reference glossary entries so that users need not make two entries where only one definition exists. If this is already available, please point me to it.

You could accomplish this by providing one or two more fields under the Term field. These fields can be named as Alias1 and Alias2. Users can enter Alias1 and Alias2 for a glossary term when they create a new one. When users insert these into the documentation, all related terms can be populated for users to choose.
From the above example in the main feature request, the main entry can be Answering Machine Detection, Alias1 can be AMD. When users have to insert one of these, the listing will show both for the users to choose. No matter which one the users choose, the same definition / description would pop over.
