Follow articles - Editor to choose if the revised changes needs to be notified for the readers.

The editor needs to have control over whether or not to trigger follow-up notification emails to followers. This can be useful in case there are very minor changes to the articles e.g. spelling mistakes, punctuation, etc., so that the readers are not triggered by a notification for trivial stuff like this.

So important! We are considering not exposing this feature because we have to coordinate every publication of our Release Notes page between all the writers. We have to determine if it's worth publishing cuz it will alert all followers on the update which may have just been a correction to a typo.

Vikram Krishna Kannan,
Thank you for sharing this suggestion.
We understand the need for editors to have control over whether follow-up notification emails are triggered for followers, especially in cases of minor updates such as spelling corrections or punctuation fixes, where sending notifications may not be necessary.
We’ll review this internally and check the feasibility of introducing an option that allows editors to suppress follower notifications during specific updates.
We’ll share an update once we have more clarity from our evaluation.
