This is a must-have and a basic feature for documenting any technical product, for example filter on search results related to SDK, API, UI etc. For example searching for "Login" will give articles related to login through the UI, the SDK and the API. Could be a clatter of results. A developer will want SDK related results only, and another persona would like only UI related results

This is good! We have lots of terminology that may exist under different categories. It would be nice to be able to filter where and what categories to limit the search to. Apple is doing this today - https://support.apple.com/guide/preview/welcome/mac
To add, it would be good if the parent topic can be linked to separately.
