Editable snippts or auto-complete

I would like "editable" snippets or a feature where my KB is searched while I type and suggestions are offered in a drop-down or otherwise (like auto-suggest). I find myself copying and pasting a lot, which seems backwards in a modern KB tool. Content reuse at the sentence or paragraph level should be improved. In addition, I would like to be able to highlight text and choose "Add snippet" instead of having to go to Snippets and creating the text there.

Hi Pavithra, thanks for following up! It seems that the "editable snippets" feature has already been implemented with the ability to convert to text. An example of auto-suggest is the feature in SDL Studio: https://docs.rws.com/de-DE/sdl-trados-studio-783545/autosuggest-341141. If a sentence is already present in the translation memory, while you start typing, it will appear in a drop-down where it can be selected. This prevents manual typing and improves consistency. Potentially, it could even replace snippets, which have to be inserted manually, and automate content re-use for much more productivity. I hope this makes sense? :)

Hi Claus Schittenhelm, Thanks so much for your feedback! We completely understand how important content reuse and seamless workflows are in a modern knowledge base.
The ability to add a snippet directly from the editor is already on our radar and part of our roadmap. We'll do our best to prioritize it based on demand and feasibility.
In the meantime, could you help us understand a bit more about:
What you mean by “editable” snippets – are you referring to inserting a snippet and then modifying it for that specific instance without affecting the original?
And regarding the search suggestions while typing, would this be for inserting reusable content, or for surfacing existing KB articles as reference while authoring?
Your input will help us shape the feature more effectively. Looking forward to your thoughts!
