Custom field for revision version

We have observed that at the time of editing an existing article, Doc360 automatically assigns it a version number. For example, if a published article is edited for the first time, the new draft becomes version 2 or V2, where the previous version is V1.
Since our product uses a release cycle and patch updates to reflect new changes to the documentation (features, bug fixes, etc.), we want the option to assign a custom version, which in our case will be the release version.
See the attached screenshot. Instead of "V2", we want it to say, for e.g., "Release 1.135 p01."
Please let us know if you need any further clarification.

Hi Usama
Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback and the screenshot - it helps clarify the use case.
We understand your requirement to align article versioning in Document360 with your product’s release and patch naming conventions (e.g., “Release 1.135 p01” instead of the default “V2”). Currently, the system auto-generates version numbers incrementally (V1, V2, etc.) upon each edit, and this logic is not customizable.
At this time, this functionality is not part of our roadmap, but we will evaluate it further based on broader customer interest and use case alignment.
Should there be any changes or progress on this front, we will be sure to keep you informed.
