When I have an imported image with Alternative text in the DOC360 Drive and insert that image into an article, the Alt text is not copied into the HTML of the article.
I was told that the Alt text is only copied in Mark Down editor.
We have thousands of images and use the same image in multiple articles and versions.
It would be labor intensive to manually add the Alt text to each image in all our articles. This makes our content not 508 Compliant.
Need to have the image Alt text copied to any article it is inserted for WYSYWIG editor mode as well.

When you upload an image directly to an article and create alt text during that upload process, it would be nice for the alt text to also be saved to the image in Drive. That way, if you reuse the image on another article, you don't have to rewrite the alt text each time. Right now, we have to upload images directly to the Drive and then insert them into articles if we want the alt text to be saved in the Drive.

Thank you for sharing this request.
We understand the need for alt text added during image upload to an article to also be saved with the image in Drive, so the same alt text can be reused whenever the image is inserted into another article.
We'll review this internally and check the feasibility of carrying the alt text from the article upload flow to the corresponding Drive asset.
We'll share an update once we have more clarity from our assessment

interestingly enough, in your documentation , is says that when you insert an image using the toolbar it actually adds the alt text - this doesn't work
