Context-Aware Preview to Edit Navigation

Problem

When an author is editing a draft article and opens the article preview, the preview page displays an action.

Clicking opens a new editor tab/session for the same article, even when the original editing session is already open.

This can result in multiple browser tabs for the same article during repeated edit → preview → edit cycles, creating unnecessary navigation and potential confusion about which tab contains the active editing session.

Suggested Enhancement

Make the Preview → Edit workflow context-aware.

Possible approach

Hide or disable the action when the preview is launched from an active editing session.

Customer Impact

This feedback was raised during the Viessmann POC. The customer found the current workflow unintuitive because the article was already open in edit mode, yet the system opened another editor instance for the same article.

A context-aware workflow would reduce tab proliferation, improve authoring efficiency, and provide a more seamless review experience.
