Collapsible Arrow Disappearance for Index Pages Without Subcategories
backlog
Akash Sivaraman
If an index page does not have any subcategories, the collapsible arrow should automatically disappear. This will reduce visual clutter and help users easily identify categories that do not have any further sections to expand.
Current Behavior: Currently, all index pages (even those without subcategories) display a collapsible arrow, regardless of whether there are any subcategories to show. This can lead to confusion, as users may expect content to be hidden or expandable when it is not.
Requested Behavior:
If an index page has no subcategories, the collapsible arrow should be hidden or removed from the view.
If an index page has subcategories, the collapsible arrow should remain visible, allowing the user to expand or collapse the list.

Hi Akash, Thanks for sharing the feedback.
Are you referring to the category tree view in the KB site? Currently, the behavior is applied to folders, pages, and index categories if no subcategories exist within the respective folder type. To ensure consistency, we should maintain the collapsible structure as an indication that articles are present within the respective index category.

Mohamed Shakheen Hey! Maybe this is a bug, but I had a page with another page as a subcategory, but once I removed it - the page remained as is. You can see it in the attached image (highlighted in yellow). Did I misunderstand your explanation?
