When I highlight text and click inside the highlighted range, the highlight remains in place. However, the intuitive behavior (like in Word) is that the highlight disappears and the cursor is placed where I click. The reason I was told is that highlighting produces the Formatting Options, assuming that this is always what the user intends to do. And that I have to click OUTSIDE the highlighted range to make the highlight go away. However, I don't always want to use the Formatting Options popup. Perhaps I just want to cut and paste etc. Highlighting text is often not a 1-shot operation - perhaps I decide that I want to highlight more text. Having to first click outside the selected area to be able to repeat the select is an unnecessary extra step and feels more like a bug than intended behavior.
