Category filter on the main search bar

We are requesting the addition of a category filter on the main search bar. The idea is for the search bar to include a category filter option, allowing users to search within a specific category, similar to the behavior of the LinkedIn search bar.

At present, Document360 already provides robust filtering capabilities within Main Search bar, including workspace- and language-level filters. Additionally, users can leverage Advanced Search, which offers granular filtering across workspace, language, tags, date, and categories. While these options enable precise refinement, your request highlights a need for faster, in-context filtering at the point of search entry.
To evaluate this effectively, we’d like to understand the use case of providing the categofy filter in the main search bar - specifically looking for a persistent, upfront category selector on the main search bar, or is the goal to reduce steps and surface category-based filtering without navigating to Advanced Search?
