Block Editor - Adding Ancors
planned
Denis Tkalec
Hi,
we would like to be able to add anchor links to the text when working in the Block editor. Can you explain how to do it? We used to do it this way: https://ims-handbook.cenosco.com/docs/link-to-specific-part-of-an-article but now we can't get to the code view.
In the last line of the following article https://docs.document360.com/v3/docs/en/block-editor it says that in the toolbar under the Insert section, there should be a Code view element but our Toolbar ends with the Divider as you can see on the attached image.
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Denis Tkalec

Hi Denis, thanks for writing to us. To provide an anchor link to the text, select the text in the edit page and click the insert function - you can see the link in the list. By selecting the link - a mini pop-over window will be displayed. In that, you can enter the external link, or other existing headings (except H1, H5, H6) can be inserted.
A simple keyboard shortcut key only to insert the external hyperlink to the text is ctrl+k.
And for the code view, you can find that inside the article context menu (...). I've attached images for your reference. Please free to reach out to us, if you find any difficulties to work on. Thank you!

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
I was also wondering, why isn't the part selected in the block editor selected also in the codeview as it used to be in the WYSIWYG editor? Can that be fixed?
Thank you once again!
Kind regards,
Denis Tkalec

Denis Tkalec: Thanks for the response, we have taken an alternative implementation for this code block. This will surely solve your use case. The cursor will remain in the same section of the code view where you've placed that on the edit page. You can expect this function within this year-end. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
