Better Image Management

When I insert an image into a document, the image is named "image" and is placed into a single root folder. This leads to duplication, needless storage use, and makes reviewing documentation and image reuse unnecessarily difficult.
When an image is added, it should be added to a folder associated with that document. Name it whatever you feel you have to if you can't do any better, but the image should be easily addressable by association.

Hi Dan
We understand the challenge caused by default image naming and storing all images in a single root folder - this can lead to duplication, increased storage consumption, and difficulties in managing or reusing images effectively.
To address this, we are working on introducing the ability to rename image file names in the Drive and this is part of our upcoming roadmap. This will give users more control over organization and help in identifying images by context or association with specific documents.
We believe this enhancement will directly resolve the issue you've highlighted and significantly improve media management within Document360. We’ll keep you informed.
Appreciate your valuable feedback.

Yes, this behavior is totally annoying. Since you cannot even rename images, the only way to get some control is to upload the images with the desired names to the drive beforehand and then insert them to a topic.

A nice idea. The generic Images folder is maddening. Perhaps provide a dlalog where the editor can select the destination and rename the file.
I tend to keep my large GIF files in separate directories than their related PPTs.
