We plan to have external technicians accessing some of the document. Since they are the "boots on the ground" they will probably have suggestions for improving the documentation and also suggest new content.
We would like to have a feature that allows readers to comments on articles

Hi all, you can leverage our new feature, "Feedback Manager" which helps users to provide comments on articles. Users can view the details under content tools, and assign contributors to update relevant changes against the article. This will notify back to the reader, when enabled by reader, while providing feedback.

Magnificent Grasshopper: Glad to see this has somewhat been addressed. Also want to note for others on this thread that the feedback manager will hopefully be more optimized as a commenting feature soon: https://document360.canny.io/feature-request/p/more-customization-for-feedback-widget

Bryan & Marshal,
Thank you for the replies.
I was not aware that a 3rd party integration app would be required to comment on an existing article. It is such a basic feature in Confluence.

Umber brown Shrimp: we're in the same boat and have a request similar to yours – https://feedback.document360.com/feature-request/p/allow-reader-accounts-to-comment-without-discus

Like a native feature? You can currently comment on articles with Disque.

Linen Cod: I was unable to find where a READER can add a comment/discuss.
It seems only Contributors can.

Umber brown Shrimp: Interesting, our readers can contribute with the Disqus system if they sign up for a Disqus account and associate it with their document360 account. We stopped using it because of how cumbersome it was.
A native commenting system would be nice. Currently you can only use two 3rd party options. Disqus, which is quite frankly a bloated, non intuitive component that collects and uses data to market (because its free) or a paid 3rd party option, which we do not use either as commenting has no direct value to justify the extra cost on top of paying monthly for document360.

Umber brown Shrimp: Currently we have option to add third party integration. Kindly find the attached image
