Add more options when editing the Cover Page in Design Template

When you create the Design Template it’s optional to put the Description on it, but mandatory to fill in the Title box. We use the Logo option to show the name of the company, and because of that we don’t have a good universal use for the Title content. It would be nice if it wasn’t necessary to fill in the Title or if there was any option of customizing either the Title or the Description (position on the Cover Page).

We'd love an update on this one, too, because the cover page constraints are unacceptable to the point where we keep the Cover Page turned off on PDF exports. As shown in the attached screen shot, the cover page is unusable. Given that the cover page is unusable, we're currently downloading copies of PDFs and attaching our own front matter (cover pages and copyright pages) to them, and then we're manually updating PDF attachments to pages via the Drive. When our readers download a page using the built-in PDF button, they only get a PDF that begins with the ToC - the lack of a Cover Page looks unprofessional!

Is there an update on whether this level of flexibility can be provided? Also when reviewing the templates, it would be helpful to consider flexibility around template for the entire doc. not just the cover page (i.e. footers/headers, etc.)

Hi Maria Dziuba
Thank you for your valuable input.
We consider this as an enhancement and we added this requirement to our list under the Design template feature. We will update you on the ETA shortly.
