The most frequent use case for inline code and code block is to select a piece of text and format it as code. Few people are going to be writing code inside D360. Unfortunately, currently copypasting things and formatting as inline code looks like this:
  1. Create an empty line
  2. Insert a text block for Inline code.
  3. Type a couple of characters so the formatting doesn't just disappear.
  4. Paste the text you want as plain text in the middle of the extra characters (otherwise the formatting doesn't take).
  5. Remove the extra characters.
So please, let users just select text and apply a code style.
