Ability to replace image
Eric Grau
When I need to replace images, I wish I could have that option so all references on all documents are updated. Currently I must upload a new image and go to each document and remove the old image and insert a new image. Things like size and alt text must be redone. This would save so much time.

Show image dependencies when replacing

When replacing an image, it would be good to see if there are any other articles that are connected to (dependent upon) that image to make double sure that replacing the image won't have adverse affects in other articles.

Hi Adam Minich, It looks like there might be a slight misunderstanding. When you delete or replace an image from within an article, it only affects that specific article. However, if you want to replace a particular image across all the articles where it’s used, the ideal workflow would be to do this from the Drive rather than from a single article. The Dependency Viewer in the Drive helps you check where an image is used before making any changes, ensuring you make an informed decision.
Also, please note that it may take a few minutes for the changes to reflect across all articles. If you’re looking for something different, feel free to share more details—we’d be happy to explore further!

Hi,
This ticket caught my eye b/c I've wondered about image dependencies.
Are you talking about deleting an image from an ARTICLE? Or from the image picker screen?

Adam Minich have you looked at the Dependency Viewer option in the Drive, it solves the exact purpose

Saravana Kumar: Hi Saravana, thanks for the reply. To be more specific, I want to accomplish this from within the article editor. I'd like a warning message to pop up with links to view any other article dependencies. Basically, I'm trying to flip the workflow of opening another tab, to open the drive, to search for the image, to click "view dependencies," to then return back to the article to replace the image on its head and instead have it "serve up" the list as an extra measure of protection against replacing an asset that may no longer work in all of its dependencies. Happy to meet with someone to discuss further if that is not clear. :)
