Ability to Link to Replicated Articles Individually
backlog

One of our customers requested the ability to link directly to replicated articles instead of always being redirected to the original source article. Since both currently share the same URL, readers are taken out of their current category, causing confusion. The team suggested allowing unique URLs or local linking for replicated articles to improve navigation and user experience.

Hi Venkatesh
Thanks for bringing this up.
We understand the challenge: since replicated articles currently inherit the same URL as the source, readers are always redirected to the original article. This breaks contextual navigation and forces users out of the category they’re working in, leading to unnecessary confusion.
Your suggestion to enable either unique URLs for replicated articles or local linking within the replicated article’s category is aligned with improving navigation consistency and reducing reader friction.
We’ve added this to our backlog for deeper evaluation. Based on broader customer traction and the overall impact on the knowledge base experience, we’ll assess how and when we can support this capability. We’ll keep you updated as this progresses.
