Often, we need to take down articles, but we also need to be able to retrieve them later... and go back to it. So the ability to archive content is pretty important.

Need Archive folder to store articles that are no longer needed but must be retained for reference, without deletion. This would enhance content management by providing an alternative to deletion, especially useful for maintaining records or saving previous versions of published articles.
Description
Currently, the only way to remove articles from active content areas is to delete them, with a 30-day recovery period before permanent deletion. Published articles do not have an option to be “unpublished” or reverted, limiting flexibility in managing outdated or superseded content. Adding an Archive folder would address this limitation by offering a secure storage space for articles that may need to be referenced or restored in the future.

Old articles need a place to be saved but totally inactive. This would free up tags and other issues. Companies need to keep what was previously published.

Though we are using the import/export function as a workaround, I realized that the history of the page doesn't get captured. So Please keep in mind that we will need the page history to be intact when archiving an article.

Most companies need to archive vs. delete pages. The folders are limited to 100 files and that is not enough to create an archive. I hit this wall and the pop up was not in my face enough to see and as a result there are likely files that did not get in the archive bucket.
