Ability to add name to the image captured using screen capture feature
backlog
Uppili Srinivasan
When using the screen capture feature, images captured through the tool are automatically uploaded with generic filenames (e.g., “image” followed by a random number), without providing an option for users to assign meaningful filenames before upload. This makes it difficult for content teams to identify, organize, locate, and update screenshots later, especially when managing a large volume of media assets.
It would be great if we have the option to specify a custom filename before the image is uploaded, similar to standard file upload workflows. This would significantly improve asset organization and usability for teams regularly creating and maintaining documentation.

Hi Burnt sienna Seahorse , Uppili Srinivasan,
Thank you for sharing this request.
We understand the challenge of managing screenshots when images captured through the screen capture tool are automatically uploaded with generic system-generated filenames.
We’ll take this as an improvement request and add it to our backlog for future evaluation. Providing an option to assign a custom filename before upload would help improve asset organization, searchability, and maintenance for teams managing large volumes of documentation assets.
We’ll share updates if this gets picked up in upcoming planning cycles.
