Ability to Add Link to an Inline Code
backlog

We need the ability to link words or phrases within inline code blocks to other articles. Currently, the Doc360 editor supports inline linking, but the link doesn't render in the editor or on the published site, making it invisible to users (images 1, 2, and 3).
This native support is critical for our documentation, as we frequently use inline code for visual formatting of important terms and require those terms to be linked to topics that explain at length about them.

Hi Usama
Thank you for sharing this request — I just want to confirm my understanding.
You’re trying to add a hyperlink to a term formatted as inline code (for example, data mapping catalog) using the Add Link option. While the link can be created, it doesn’t render as clickable in either the editor or the published site, and there’s no visible indication of a link being applied.
You’re right — this is a current limitation of the Document360 editor, as inline code formatting doesn’t yet support embedded hyperlinks.
In the meantime, you can try one of these workarounds:
Use styled text instead of inline code — apply a code-like style (e.g., monospace font or grey background via custom CSS) and then insert the link.
Add a parenthetical link next to the term, e.g.:
The data mapping catalog (see Data Mapping Overview
) captures your data lifecycle.
We’ve added this to our feature backlog and will monitor for more customer traction to prioritize it in a future release.
Meanwhile, please do share how the workaround works out for your use case — this will help us understand the impact and refine the enhancement when we take it up.
Thanks again for sharing this valuable feedback.
