Newly pasted images deleted when any other content on page is deleted
complete
Mikala Thompson
New images pasted into an article are subject to deletion after being pasted (post-"uploading" status), if any deleting takes place anywhere else in the article, regardless of where the cursor is placed.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open an article to edit
- Paste a new (external) image into the article, and wait for upload status to complete.
- Click your cursor on any existing text or extra line breaks above or below the newly pasted image.
- Click delete.
- Note that the newly pasted image has been deleted.

This has been an issue and is an extra step that has to be taken to make sure images are not deleting without noticing. A fix would be much appreciated.

I have almost accidentally deleted images without knowing. Luckily, I now know I have to double-check.

This is a big problem, since under these circumstances, it's possible to accidentally delete an image without noticing.
