Manual re-indexing required when article/category deleted

Deleted articles and categories show up in the search results. Every time we delete something in our knowledge base, I need to open a ticket so that the knowledge base can be manually re-indexed. This is not ok. The re-indexing should happen automatically so that users will not see the deleted categories and articles in their search results.

When I hide or delete articles, our users sometimes see them in the search results and it confuses them as they land on a 404 page. We should be able to set the feed update frequency based on our needs.

Agreed. This is a much-needed feature. Why not put it on a weekly schedule similar to what you've done with link-checking?
