CTRL + Z has helped us a lot but we would benefit with a button option as well.

Hilde Verweire as per your request unpublish / hidden both are same, at the UX its indicative for the user that respective article will not be displayed irrespective of the article status. Users can still fork / edit the hidden article and perform operations and then later publish at their convenience.

We need to be able to undo the publication of an article. As far as I understood the only way you can remove a published article from he site is by hiding it. However then its title is struck through in the editor and that looks strange.
