One of our customers has provided the below feedback:
In the Advanced WYSIWYG Editor, Code View is cluttered with excessive markup, making it difficult to read and visually scan content. Customer has requested a cleaner, more minimal markup view to improve readability and overall editing efficiency.

Maintain code view formatting

I frequently use code view and code editors. However, when I paste my formatted code into the code view and then go to WYSIWYG, the code view goes back to its own formatting. This makes it nearly impossible for me to return to editing using D360; I have to go back to my code editor.

Revert Code View to Previous Iteration

I can no longer utilize Code View in the Editor due to the changes that have been made recently. The HTML code is no longer readable, and no longer separates blocks of code line by line, and instead is turning it into a paragraph that I cannot interpret. Please revert Code View back to its previous design, where it was readable and easy to use.

I don’t use the new editor for a number of reasons, and the new code view is definitely one of them.

Completely agree. I’m not using the newer editor for a few reasons, and this is one of the main ones.

Hi Jeff Candela. When you are in Code View hit Shift + Tab. This will separate your code by line. It would be nice to have this done automatically as I don't know why anybody would want to have a big block of code like that.
Another thing that would be nice is to retain your selected text when you hit Shift + Tab. Now, if you have selected say a paragraph and then do it you lose your place and you have to search for your paragraph again. This can be tedious.

Hi marni,
We understand that the formatting is getting reset when you paste your code in the code view and go back to WYSIWYG.
Can you try moving to the Advanced WYSIWYG editor, there once you have pasted your code and move to the Advanced WYSIWYG editor, your code view will still get reset. But we have a keyboard shortcut - Shift + Tab which will format the code in the code view in a much more readable way. Please do let us know if this solves your issue and let us know further.
