Disable the ":" emoticons in the Advanced WYSIWYG editor

The automatic pop-up of emoticons when typing a colon ":" in the Advanced WYSIWYG editor is an issue for users. It interrupts the writing process and decreases productivity. Offering an option to disable this feature would greatly improve user experience and efficiency in content creation.

Huge upvote. This is so disruptive and I would love to be able to turn this off.

I agree. It's particularly frustrating when adding French content to an article because there are spaces before and after colons, and the emoticons are automatically displayed.
A global "disable emoticons" setting would be ideal.
